My fee includes all travel, including the rehearsal, within a 30 minute driving radius from my location in Lacey, WA. If you would like me to travel beyond 30 minute radius, I charge a nominal fee.
Venues over 50 miles from Lacey, WA may require an overnight stay if there is a rehearsal the day prior to or the morning of the wedding.
This has never happened, but fortunately I have a deep bench of several licensed and experienced colleagues who I know would knock your ceremony out of the park as well as I would. Your ceremony will already be completely written by me, of course, and I would call on one of my colleagues to seamlessly step in and read and perform what you and I have created together.
I recommend and gently insist on a rehearsal – that’s why it’s included in my services!
If your venue is not available for a rehearsal, don’t fret! We just need a space where we can imagine a “front area” and practice walking down a mock aisle and standing in a line. We can make anywhere work; a park, a condo rec-room, a hallway…
We want to do everything we can to make sure everyone is as relaxed as possible on your wedding day. A rehearsal – anywhere – goes a long way towards that.
After we meet and you decide to book me, I send you an email with payment options. You can pay by PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo. I ask for a 50% booking deposit as a retainer, and I ask for the remaining 50% well after you have the draft of your ceremony script and it’s almost complete. Then I start building your story and fine-tuning your ceremony until you’re in love with it.
You will obtain your Washington Marriage License and provide it to me before your ceremony. Then I provide registration of your marriage with the county clerk’s office.
.Your marriage license is an important legal document containing sensitive information. I advise couples to manage turning it in themselves either in person or by mail.
If you like, I am happy to return the marriage license by mail to the issuing office. I do this promptly on the next business day.
